Reason #1 to Vote “Yes” on 9/27 for the Bond Referendum:
Critical Building Upgrades
Our schools’ infrastructure has aged. Roofs at Salt Brook and the Middle/High School leak into classrooms and hallways. Short-term patches, re-routing water and replacing ceiling tiles are no longer adequate. (AWR had their roof replaced as a result of the 2006 referendum.) Funding will also go toward a new boiler. These upgrades alone represent nearly 40% of the proposed $15.8 million referendum. If we don't address these issues now, we WILL have more serious problems. These upgrades are necessary to keep our children safe and provide the facilities that make New Providence a top school district. Please vote yes!
